FCAT Science Achievement Level 3 and Above by LEP, Grade 5
Since 2006, the percentage of fifth grade students with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) scoring at grade level and above increased by 5 points, while state averages* increased by 9 points on FCAT Science. However, fewer LEP students performed at level 3 and above compared to all students on FCAT Science Grade 5. In 2008, 12 percent of LEP students scored at grade level and above compared to 44 percent of Florida students, a difference of 32 percentage points.
