Girls on par with boys in third grade on Mathematics 

FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by Gender, Grade 3

There is virtual parity on FCAT Mathematics achievement between males and females scoring at grade level and higher among Florida’s third graders. Additionally, both the percentage of females and males at grade level and higher in Mathematics on the FCAT has risen 17 percentage points from 2002 to 2008.
