FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by Gender, Grade 4
In 2008, the percentage of females and males in fourth grade performing at level 3 and above were equivalent. From 2002-2007 more males than females achieved at grade level and above on FCAT Mathematics by one to six percentage points. However, the percentage of females at grade level and higher in Mathematics rose 22 percentage points from 2002 to 2008, whereas males increased by 19 percentage points.
