FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by Gender, Grade 5
In 2008, the percentage of females and males in fifth grade performing at grade level and above were equivalent. From 2002-2007 more males than females achieved at grade level and above on FCAT Mathematics by one to four percentage points. However, the percentage of females at grade level and higher in Mathematics increased 12 percentage points from 2002 to 2008, whereas males increased by 11 percentage points.
