FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by LEP, Grade 3
Since 2002, the percentage of third grade students with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) scoring at grade level and above increased by 28 points, while state averages* increased by 17 points on FCAT Mathematics. However, fewer third grade LEP students performed at level 3 and above compared to Florida students on FCAT Mathematics. In 2008, 55 percent of LEP students scored at grade level and above compared to 76 percent of Florida students, a difference of 21 percentage points.
