FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by LEP, Grade 4
Since 2002, the percentage of fourth grade students with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) scoring at grade level and above increased by 25 points, while state averages* increased by 19 points on FCAT Mathematics. However, fewer fourth grade LEP students performed at level 3 and above compared to fourth graders on FCAT Mathematics. In 2008, 46 percent of LEP students scored at grade level and above compared to 70 percent of Florida fourth graders, a difference of 24 percentage points.
