FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by LEP, Grade 5
Since 2002, the percentage of fifth grade students with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) scoring at grade level and above increased by 16 points, while state averages* increased by 14 points on FCAT Mathematics. However, fewer LEP students performed at level 3 and above compared to all students on FCAT Mathematics Grade 5. In 2008, 33 percent of LEP students scored at grade level and above compared to 62 percent of fifth graders, a difference of 29 percentage points.
