FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by Ethnicity, Grade 4
From 2002-2008, the percentage of fourth grade White students scoring at grade level and above on FCAT Mathematics was higher than all other racial/ethnic groups. However, Black students in fourth grade made the greatest increases in the percentage of students scoring at grade level and above compared to the other racial/ethnic groups. During this interval, Blacks scoring at grade level and above increased by 26 points(to 54 percent), compared to 22 points (to 66 percent) by Hispanics, and 17 points (to 80 percent) by White students.
