
FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by LEP, Grade 6
Since 2002, the percentage of sixth grade students with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) scoring at grade level and above increased by 5 points, while state averages* increased by 10 points on FCAT Mathematics. Furthermore, fewer sixth grade LEP students performed at level 3 and above compared to all Florida sixth graders on FCAT Mathematics. In 2008, 19 percent of LEP students scored at grade level and above compared to 53 percent of all sixth graders, a difference of 34 percentage points.
