
FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by LEP, Grade 8
Since 2002, the percentage of students with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) scoring at grade level and above increased by 8 points, while state averages* increased by 14 points on FCAT Mathematics. Furthermore, fewer LEP students performed at level 3 and above compared to all eighth grade students on FCAT Mathematics. In 2008, 30 percent of LEP students scored at grade level and above compared to 67 percent of all students, a difference of 37 percentage points.
