
FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by Ethnicity, Grade 6
From 2002-2008, the percentage of sixth grade White students scoring at grade level and above on FCAT Mathematics was higher than all other racial/ethnic groups. However, Hispanic students in sixth grade made the greatest increases in the percentage of students scoring at grade level and above compared to the other racial/ethnic groups. During this interval, Hispanics scoring at grade level and above increased by11 points (to 46 percent), compared to 10 points (to 32 percent) by Blacks, and 9 points (to 64 percent) by White students.
