FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by Gender, Grade 10
A greater percentage of males scored at grade level and above on FCAT Mathematics than females from 2002-2008. In 2008, 70 percent of tenth grade males scored at grade level and higher, compared to 67 percent of females. Tenth graders maintain the greatest gender gap on this measure when compared to all other grade levels (grades 3 through 9) and have the smallest increase in percentage achieving at and above grade level across the seven years.
