Gap between income groups is large but closing in tenth grade

FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by FRL, Grade 10

Fewer10th grade students on free and reduced lunch (FRL) performed at grade level and above compared to non-FRL students. In 2008, 56 percent of students on FRL scored at grade level and above compared to 77 percent not on FRL, a difference of 21 percentage points. From 2002-2008, students on FRL scoring at grade level and above increased by 15 percentage points, while non-FRL students increased by 10 percentage points.
