FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by LEP, Grade 9
Since 2002, the percentage of students with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) scoring at grade level and above increased by 5 points, while state averages* increased by 18 points on FCAT Mathematics. Furthermore, fewer ninth grade LEP students performed at level 3 and above compared to Florida students on FCAT Mathematics. In 2008, 27 percent of LEP students scored at grade level and above compared to 65 percent of Florida students, a difference of 38 percentage points.
