
FCAT Mathematics Achievement Level 3 and Above by Ethnicity, Grade 10
From 2002-2008, the percentage of 10th grade White students scoring at grade level and above on FCAT Mathematics was higher than all other racial/ethnic groups. However, Hispanic students in 10th grade made the greatest increases in the percentage of students scoring at grade level and above compared to the other racial/ethnic groups. During this interval, Hispanics scoring at grade level and above increased by 16 points (to 64 percent), compared to 14 points (to 46 percent) by Blacks, and 7 points (to 80 percent) by White students.
